About us

callistonite is a passion project started by the desire to create.

I’ve always loved to make things and explore my creativity and abilities, and jewellery design was a hobby I found particularly fulfilling. When I made my first bracelets, I went for looks - which beads do I like? What patterns can I make? Then as I improved, I found ways to explore themes and learned how to represent my favourite things in a simple (and quite fashionable, if I do say so myself) way. This is what brought me to the decision to pursue jewellery design as a career - I want to show the world that you can celebrate your interests in so many unique ways. For me, that started with movie, video game, and fast food inspired bracelets, and now it’s a long list of ideas inspired by the world around me. I’m excited to see where this goes and I hope you like what I make :)

  • My focus when designing a new bracelet is which materials I’m going to use. For the main design, I aim to only use natural gemstones and materials, and avoid dyed and heated beads. Any synthetic, dyed or heated beads are indicated with an asterisk*. For more information on these beads, check the additional info section on the product’s page.

As the beads I use are natural, some variation in colour and pattern can occur meaning the bracelet you receive may not look identical to the bracelet shown in the product images. However, when making customer orders, I always match the beads used as closely as possible to the original pictured design so this should be no worry to you, just a heads up.

  • My inspiration is currently life - astronomy, nature, and exploration being my main interests. I also have some designs inspired by movies that I’d love to sell one day (with the right permissions, of course).

  • My goal with callistonite is simply to share my creations with everyone. I love what I make, and I really hope you do too.

  • callistonite is named after my favourite celestial object, Callisto - Jupiter’s second largest moon and the most heavily cratered object in our solar system (poor thing). The -ite ending is representative of many gemstones (labradorite being my favourite).

The spherical icon in our logo has two meanings - a moon in its orbit, and a bead on a string - connecting inspiration to outcome.

Designed with care.

Made with love.
